Look at those show off birds! Me and Minnie could do that trick with our hands tied behind our backs.

Our human friend left the USA and found other bird guys to play with.

The Guys move to new address!

Well we have moved to a new nest in Newnan, GA. The people that live with us decided to move into a larger nest and we got to come along with them. Our new home has 3 different floors. Yet for whatever reason we are only allowed on the top two floors. Me and Minnie are having fun flying from the first floor to the second floor. We even found a new place to sit and poop!
The little person that lives with us keeps inviting her friends over and they love to let us out of our cage so we can fly around and play with them. This past weekend she had several of her friends come over to spend the night. She lead them downstairs to what they call the basement to set up camp. I thought for sure me and Minnie would be able to fly do there with them. But no such luck! We did get to eat some ice cream for the first time. Not sure if we like that stuff or not. I think we will stick to nuts and seeds.
We are a little closer to one set of our babies so who knows maybe we can go for a visit.

Hallie with Minnie and Micky Mouse

The Bird guys with the keeper of the cage!
We love to fly around the house. Hallie likes to catch us and to teach us to whistle. I can sing almost 10 different tunes now!

Minnie Mouse at feeding time.
Tinker Bell on the far left and Nemo on the right with Minnie in the background.
Dori is being feed by the human called Hallie, she does a very good job compared to the other two humans!
I am still not allowed any where near the little guys cause I still have an attitude problem!

Nemo, Dori and Tinker Bell are now 15 to 17 days old.

Far left is Tinker Bell the middle is Dori.

I, Micky Mouse began to pluck feathers from their heads so Minnie had them moved into their own area.  The humans have tried to feed the little guys a few times and may have got them to eat some of their store bought food.  But Minnie still takes time out of her busy day to feed them every 4 hours during the day.  These little guys look like they may be real colorful!  Two of the little guys we have already found homes for but the humans are thinking about keeping Nemo, I am going to pitch a fit if that happens.

Minnie Mouse wants Micky to know she wants to share her nest with him for ever!

Some nerve the blog owner has.

We went to our site to let everyone know how old we were.  The human in charge of the blog did not like that we were only 1 year old.  We were informed we had to be at least 13 years old to have this blog.  So we told a small lie in order to keep this blog active.

After reading Maggie and Mitch's blog we have asked our human pets to get us some pizza!  Minnie tells me that we should try just cheese for our first time but I told the big bird in charge of our house we wanted everything on ours.

Once we get our pizza delivered we will follow this comment up to let you guys know if pizza is for the birds or not!

time to fly

Minnie and Micky want to exercise before they get back to feeding the babies.  Once around the house in flight is the only way to travel.  The guys wanted to go to the gym to take flying lessons.

Awards day at Newnan gym

Time to go the the gym and get some workouts in for the day.  I think I will take Nemo along for the ride!

Minnie feeding the little guys 5-17-2009

Minnie and her flock.  The little guys were ready to eat so while mom was feeding them Micky kept watch for any unwanted issues.  Micky is the bird standing on top of the nesting box.  The last egg you can see at the left side of the Nemo was discarded.  It ran its course and never hatched.  Now that there is no more eggs left in the nest Minnie and Micky will begin the process all over again until we have more eggs ie. more little guys!

The babies at 4 days

The little guys just woke up and had breakfast.  Minnie decided to eat crackers so they too ate crackers.  Minnie has determined she likes peanuts, she will hold it with her claws and eat them.  Most of the time they go flying.  Micky likes sunflowers but eats the peanuts just so Minnie can't have them all!

Minnie Mouse at 1 year old!

Minnie Mouse at 1 year old!

Minnie takes a break after feeding her 3 little birdies.  She loves to eat greens.  Spinach is by far her favorite food to eat.  Minnie likes to take a bath often.  She will typically bath 2 times a day now that she is sitting on her nest of eggs and baby birds.  At this point Minnie does not talk or whistle.  Micky on the other had you can't keep quiet.  He has two different whistles and knows 6 melodies.

Micky Mouse at 1 year old!

The first flock that hatched had 2 little birdies.  Donald and Daisy Duck were the first babies that Minnie and Micky created.  Minnie was a very good mother and up until the babies feathers started to come in Micky was a great father.  Both would share in the feeding  and cleaning duties.  But once the little guys feathers started to grow in Mickey wanted them out of the cage.  He began to pluck the feathers from the back of their heads when they wee about three and a half weeks old.  Once we took notice of this we moved the little guys into their own cage.  We began to feed them by hand most of the time.  When we would let Minnie and Micky out to fly we would also let Donald and Daisy out to walk around on the floor.  Minnie would go right over to them to feed both babies.  Mickey on the other hand we would have to keep away from the little guys so he could no longer pluck out their feathers.  The little birdies did not seem to mind having their own space.  Within 2 weeks they were done eating by had and moved on to seed.  These little birdies were a mess to take care of at this young age.  They would stay at the bottom of the cage almost all of the time.  When they would attempt to fly everyting in the cage would move onto the surrounding floor.  This caused us to have to vaccuum the floor 4 to 5 times a day.
It was at that time we found them a new home.  They moved out without a fuss.  We still see them once a week or so and they are doing well.  They love to fly and take baths with their new owners.

Minnie and her family with Tinker Bell 1 hour old

Tinker Bell is 1 hour old!
The third egg in the nest hatches May 13, 2009.
Minnie is looking over the nesting box woundering why there is a camera taking pictures of her new baby bird.
In the back ground are her 3 little birdies.  Tinker Bell is on the far left her brother and sister are to her right.
She still has 2 more eggs in the nest.
These eggs from the time they were laid took 25 days to hatch.
